Like the storage racks themselves, this extension is made using heavy-duty steel and rugged glass fiber reinforced nylon. The uprights, straps, hardware and crossbeams all feature a durable powder-coated finish that won't chip or fade like paint and, using the included stacking plates, the assembled unit adds an additional 2 ft. of height and another shelf to the rack. The industrial grade metal wire grid deck secures to the crossbeams with metal clips and multiple support straps prevent warping and twisting allowing the shelf to easily support an evenly distributed 2,500 pounds of weight just like the existing DXST10000 shelves and it adjusts in the same 3-in. increments.
