Designed by outdoor enthusiasts, the Cloudbreak 30L Dry Bag Backpack will become your new favorite accessory. Whether you live and work in a rainy city, or decide to trek through the rain forest, keeping your gear dry is essential. With 30L of internal space, you’ll have lots of room for clothing, ultralight chairs, camera gear and food. The classic roll top design means having a large open mouth to place bulky gear inside, while bungee cords and mesh pockets provide space and attachment points for the gear you want to grab on the go. Your commute to work and your back country hikes will never be better (in the rain) with the Cloudbreak at your side! 

Construction

The Cloudbreak is crafted using Eco-Friendly PVC. We’ve chosen this thick, marine grade, 5mm vinyl tarpaulin material to help promote our environmental efforts, all while keeping aligned with our 100% waterproof bag standards.The cloudbreak is our quintessential piece, boasting the highest possible waterproof rating of IPX8. With this rating, feel confident bringing it to all water-based activities including boating, swimming and underwater activities such as scuba diving and snorkeling. 

Adjustable shoulder and chest straps provide flexibility for people of all sizes, while padded back support and mesh lining help wick away moisture. The Cloudbreak uses high frequency welded stitching and glue on all seams, meaning no water entry from any angle.

Built with ultralight campers and travelers in mind, the Cloudbreak is made to be as compact and portable as possible. At under 2 lbs (0.9 kg), you can easily take it to the trails, pack it away in a larger suitcase for later use, or bring it on board your flight as a carry on.

Features

The Cloudbreak 30L Dry Bag Backpack is filled with features every traveler will love. Whether that’s the comfort of knowing your gear will stay dry, or enjoying the small details like an internal pocket for money, keys or passports, the Cloudbreak has been built with you in mind. 

Side mesh pockets provide a convenient “grab and go” solution for items like water bottles and snacks. Buckles along the side of the bag allow the roll top to be clipped to the side of the bag when “stuffed to the brim”, where normal top clipping is not a viable option. 

Bungee cords on the exterior of the bag are perfect for yoga mats, shoes or other lightweight items. The 30 liters of internal storage is perfect for a day pack, providing ample room for your other FE Active gear, or use it onboard your next flight as a carry on, as this bag meets “carry on” the size requirement for most North American airlines.

Note: We recommend rolling the top of the bag at least 3 full turns before buckling to create a watertight seal.
